ABOUT US 

When Andrew & Nanette Gorton saw Whitianga Home Furnishings for sale, it seemed like a good opportunity to own their own business in something Andrew really knew a lot about. With their two sons they relocated from Auckland, taking over the business in August 2006.

Andrew’s experience in the trade is extensive. Having already spent 14 years in the industry, including three years as a production supervisor for Luxaflex, he took up an a opportunity to train with Lahood Window Furnishings regarded as one of the country’s best in the business. He progressed from there to become a self employed installations contractor, again working for Lahood as well as a host of other outlets including Harvey Furnishings and the Spotlight stores chain, his work also included several Auckland interior designers. Andrew was sorely missed from the Auckland market but all wished him well.

A large part of a good business is the understanding that customer service, product knowledge, and final installation all have to be spot on to ensure the jobs carried out are hassle free for both the customer and the reputation of business.
